Manhole Couture

Artist Emma-France Raff uses her unique “printing press” technique to transform urban landscape designs into wearable art such as t-shirts, hoodies, and totes. From Berlin to Barcelona, Istanbul to Paris, and Porto of Stavanger to name a few, Raff will scour each city seeking out manhole covers that inspire her creations. Her unconventional approach merges the cultural essence of these locations, often depicted on these covers, with the practicality of clothing, bringing “streetwear” to life.
